Laurel founded Leone Advertising as a one-person, one-account agency in 1993. Her ten years of experience in the telecommunications and directory advertising industries helped her develop the knowledge, skills and vision for starting her own yellow pages agency.
As a small business owner, Laurel
is an active member of the NAWBO (National Association
of Women Business Owners) Silicon Valley Chapter.
She also volunteers as a lecturer, facilitator
and research participant for various programs and
institutions to help young people, especially women,
become better prepared for successful and satisfying
entrepreneurial experiences.
Laurel lives in Menlo Park with her husband, Steve, and the youngest of 3 sons (the other 2 are in college). An amateur film buff, Laurel watches 1 or 2 films a week* and is a little obsessive about crossword puzzles. She also regularly volunteers in alcohol and substance abuse programs.
